Dinner Recipe Round-Up: Pasta Edit
My favorite pasta recipes.

Hi, I love pasta. Indulging in a pasta dish (or two) is one of my most cherished weekly traditions. I am a bit embarrassed to admit that I set out to create a simple “dinner recipe round-up” to post today: varied dishes, a few salads, a rice dish, maybe a soup; yet, when I looked at my list, the main component of 90 percent of the dishes was pasta.
There is simply no point in fighting it. Carbs are always trending this time of year – your body needs them for winter. Given this concrete fact, I have pulled together five of my tried and true favorite recipes, all starring that starchy ingredient I can’t get enough of. Ready your bowl, girl. The most comforting of all foods awaits.

Ok, I know that the ingredient list is slightly questionable. Regardless, you must see this one through. I assure you, the results will delight your tastebuds.

Super Green Vegan Kale Pesto | Minimalist Baker Recipes
Pack your blender full of greens and let the guilt that is oftentimes associated with a carb-heavy meal leave your person. This pesto is nutrient heavy and delicious.

Vegan Tuscan Pumpkin Pasta Sauce | Detoxinista
Obviously I wouldn’t let an October recipe round-up go by without including some pumpkin in the mix. This sauce is rich and flavorful. I only add about half of the amount maple syrup and quite a hearty pinch (or three) of my secret ingredient (noted below).

Asian Noodle Salad with Edamame and Sweet Ginger Dressing | hot for food
When I am craving something a little more exotic, I allow noodles to guide my way. Let this be proof that a salad doesn’t have to be boring. I sub the sunflower oil in the dressing with tahini and a little extra water.

Miso-Tahini Green Ramen Recipe | Food52
To the 14 percent of people out there who equate the flavor of cilantro with that of soap, this is not the recipe for you. To my fellow cilantro lovers, it is my pleasure to acquaint you with this flavorful delicacy. I like to add some miso-roasted broccoli on top, for a little variation of texture.
Note: I add a few dashes of cayenne to every single one of these recipes. It is my secret weapon of flavor.
